The studio
What is Bloomix Labs?
A studio that makes Android apps. We build a small number of them, carefully, and publish them under one name.
Who's behind it?
A small team. We'd rather the apps got the attention than we did, so there isn't much about us on this site.
Do you do client work?
Yes, alongside our own apps. If you have something in mind, write to bloomix.apps@gmail.com and tell us what you're after.
Is there a schedule for new releases?
No. Apps go out when they're finished. Sometimes that's a few weeks apart, sometimes a few months.
The apps
What platforms do you support?
Android only, built natively.
Will you make an iOS version?
Not at the moment. It's a genuinely different piece of work rather than a port, and we'd rather do Android properly than both badly.
Which Android versions do your apps run on?
It varies a little between apps, so each app's page lists what it needs. If it's on Play for your phone, it runs on your phone.
Are your apps free?
Some are free with nothing to buy. Others are free with an optional paid upgrade. Each app's page says which, and so does its Play listing.
Do your apps show ads?
Some do, some don't. Where an app is ad-supported, its page says so and the paid upgrade removes them. We don't put ads in an app and then hide that fact until after you've installed it.
Do they work without an internet connection?
It depends on the app, and each app's page says. Several of ours do everything on the device and never need a connection at all.
What languages are they available in?
English only for now. If you'd like to see one of our apps in your language, tell us which and we'll add it to the list.
Do they work on tablets, foldables or Wear OS?
Most of our apps run well on phones and tablets. Support does differ from app to app, so check the app's own page for what it's built for.
How often do you update them?
When there's a reason: a bug worth fixing, a feature worth adding, or a new Android version to keep up with. We don't ship monthly updates to look busy.
Privacy and data
Do your apps collect my data?
Each app has its own privacy policy, linked from its page, because the honest answer differs by app. Where an app stores something, that policy says exactly what and where.
Does this website track me?
No. No analytics, no cookies, no tracking of any kind. The privacy policy covers it in full, and it's short.
How do I delete data an app has stored?
Within the app where it offers a clear or delete option, or through Android's Settings → Apps → [app] → Storage → Clear data. Uninstalling removes everything. Since our apps keep data on your device rather than on a server, there's nothing on our side to request the deletion of.
Support
How do I report a bug?
Email support@bloomixlabs.com with the app name and version, your phone model and Android version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. A screenshot helps if there's anything to see.
How quickly will you reply?
Usually within a few days. Every email is read by someone who works on the apps.
Can I request a feature?
Yes, and it's worth telling us the problem rather than the feature. What you're trying to do is more useful to us than the solution you've imagined, and it often leads somewhere better.
Can I suggest an app idea?
Please do. A lot of what we build starts with somebody being irritated by an existing app.
I bought the upgrade and something's wrong.
Email us and we'll sort it out. Purchases go through Google Play, so refunds are handled there, but tell us anyway — if something's broken we'd rather fix it than have you ask for your money back.
Something in an app is worded badly or wrong.
Tell us the exact text and where you saw it. These are quick to fix and easy for us to miss.
Press and everything else
Can I write about your apps?
Yes, and thank you. Screenshots and icons from an app's page can be used in articles and reviews. If you need something specific, ask.
Can I use your logo?
For writing about us, yes. Not in a way that suggests we made, sponsored, or endorsed something we didn't.
Do you accept paid promotion, sponsored reviews, or install campaigns?
No. We don't buy installs, pay for reviews, or take sponsorship, and we don't respond to offers to arrange any of it.
Do you take guest posts or link exchanges on your blog?
No. Everything on the blog is written by us.
