Privacy Policy — Wick: The Lantern Moth

Effective date: 23 October 2026 Last updated: 23 October 2026

Wick: The Lantern Moth ("Wick", "the game") is developed and published by Bloomix Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what the game collects, what stays on your device, and who else is involved.

Wick is free and supported by advertising, with optional in-app purchases, and it connects to Google Play Games Services if you choose to sign in. This is not a zero-collection app. This policy says exactly what is processed, by whom, and what we can see.

1. What We Collect Ourselves

Bloomix Labs operates no servers for this game. We have no accounts of our own, no sign-in of our own, and no database of players. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or files.

What reaches us is limited to:

  • Aggregate, anonymised reporting from Google about advertising performance, crashes and sales
  • If you sign in to Play Games Services, the player data Google makes available to us in that context — see Section 3

Everything else described below is processed by Google in its role as our advertising, crash-reporting, payments and game-services provider.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

WhatWhyWhere it goes
Level progress — rooms completed, worlds unlocked, where you are in the storySo the game remembers where you got toYour device's private app storage
Settings and preferencesSo the game plays the way you set itYour device's private app storage

If you sign in to Play Games Services, a copy of your progress is also saved to your Google account — see Section 3.

Wick uses Android's standard automatic backup (android:allowBackup="true"), so your progress and settings may also be included in your own Google Drive backup and restored when you set up a new phone. That backup belongs to you, is covered by Google's Privacy Policy, and is not accessible to us. You can turn Android backup off for all apps in Settings → System → Backup.

To delete what's on your device: Settings → Apps → Wick → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the game. If you are signed in, a cloud copy may remain in your Google account until you delete it there (Section 3), and a device backup may remain in Google Drive until you remove it in Android's backup settings.

3. Play Games Services

Wick connects to Google Play Games Services, which powers achievements, leaderboards and cloud-saved progress.

Signing in is optional. The whole game is playable without it. Decline, and no account information is involved at all — you simply won't have achievements, leaderboards or a cloud copy of your progress.

If you do sign in:

  • Your Play Games profile. Google provides the game with your Play Games player ID and the display name and avatar you've chosen for Play Games. That display name is one you control in your Play Games settings, and it need not be your real name. We do not receive your Google account email address.
  • Achievements. Which achievements you've unlocked is recorded against your Play Games account, and we can see aggregate achievement statistics across players.
  • Leaderboards. If you post a score, your Play Games display name and avatar are visible to other players on that leaderboard, subject to the visibility settings in your Play Games account. Don't post if you'd rather not be listed; you can also hide or reset your Play Games profile in Google's settings.
  • Saved Games (cloud save). A copy of your progress is stored in your Google account so you can continue on another device. It holds game progress only — no personal information beyond what Play Games already associates with your account.

All of this is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy and the Play Games Services terms.

Your controls:

  • Play Games signs you in automatically if you use it on this device. To stop, remove Wick's access or turn off automatic sign-in in the Play Games app, or don't use Play Games at all — the whole game is playable without it.
  • Manage your profile, visibility and friends in the Play Games app or at your Google account settings.
  • Delete this game's Play Games data — including achievements, leaderboard entries and cloud saves — through the Play Games app's settings, which lets you remove data for an individual game. Deleting it there does not affect progress saved on your device, and clearing the app's data does not affect the cloud copy; remove both if you want everything gone.

4. Advertising

Wick shows advertisements served by Google AdMob: full-screen ads between levels, and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch in exchange for something in the game. You are never required to watch a rewarded ad.

To serve and measure ads, AdMob may process:

  • Your device's advertising ID, a resettable identifier
  • Device and app information such as model, operating system version, language and the app showing the ad
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address
  • Interaction with the ads shown

This processing is Google's, under Google's Privacy Policy and the Google advertising policies. We receive aggregate performance figures only.

Your controls:

  • Reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads on your device.
  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before ads are shown, and no ads load until your choice allows them. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → privacy choices, at the bottom of the Settings screen.
  • Buying the ad-removal option stops ads being shown. See Section 6.

Your game data is not used for advertising. Your progress, achievements, leaderboard position and Play Games identity are not passed to the advertising service, and are not used to select, target or measure ads.

5. Crash Reporting

Wick uses Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix what breaks.

When the game crashes, Crashlytics sends Google a report containing technical information: the stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version and the state of the app at the time, along with a Firebase installation identifier for the app on your device. It does not contain your name, email address or contact details, and we do not use it to identify or track you.

Crash data is processed by Google on our behalf under Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's terms, and we use it only to diagnose and fix faults.

6. Purchases

Wick is free to play and offers optional in-app purchases, including removing advertisements.

Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Your payment details go to Google, never to us — we do not see or store card numbers, billing addresses, names or email addresses. We receive only the fact that an entitlement is active on your Google account.

7. Permissions

PermissionWhy
Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)To load advertisements, sync Play Games data, send crash reports and complete purchases.
Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID)Required by Google for AdMob to serve ads.
Android ad services (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS)Added by Google AdMob for Android's privacy-preserving ad APIs (the Privacy Sandbox), on devices that support them.
Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING)To offer and verify in-app purchases through Google Play.
Vibration (VIBRATE)Small vibrations as you play: steps, pushes, taps, a room lighting up. They can be turned off in the game's Settings.
Background work (WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE)Added by Google's libraries so short background tasks, such as delivering a crash report, can finish. Wick runs nothing in the background of its own.

Wick requests no location permission, no storage, no contacts, no camera, no microphone and no notification access.

8. Third-Party Services

The game includes four Google services, and no others:

  • Google Play Games Services — sign-in, achievements, leaderboards and cloud saves (Section 3)
  • Google AdMob — advertising (Section 4)
  • Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting (Section 5)
  • Google Play Billing — purchases (Section 6)

There are no analytics SDKs, no social or login providers besides Play Games, and no trackers beyond those named above.

Google Play also distributes the game and may collect information relating to downloads and installs independently of it.

9. Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Data reaches Google in its roles described above. The only information shared with other people is what you choose to put on a leaderboard, which displays your Play Games name and avatar to other players. We share nothing with anyone else.

10. Retention and Deletion

We hold no personal records of our own to erase.

  • On your device: kept until you clear the app's data or uninstall it (Section 2). A copy may persist in your Android device backup until you remove it in Android's backup settings.
  • In your Google account: achievements, leaderboard entries and cloud saves are kept until you delete this game's data through the Play Games app (Section 3).
  • With Google: advertising, crash and purchase data is retained under Google's own policies.

11. Children's Privacy

Wick is a general-audience game intended for players aged 13 and over, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because the game shows advertising and uses crash reporting, it is not enrolled in Google Play's Families programme. Parents can require authentication for every Google Play purchase in the Play Store's settings, and can manage a young person's Play Games profile and its visibility through Google's family tools.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the game in a way that concerns you, contact us at the address below.

12. Security

Wick holds no account of ours and stores nothing sensitive on your device beyond game progress, which sits in Android's private per-app storage. Data sent to Google's game, advertising, crash and billing services travels over encrypted connections, and your Play Games identity is protected by your own Google account security rather than by any credential we hold.

13. Your Rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights over your personal data — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection to processing, and opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We hold no personal data about you of our own, so there is nothing on our side to access, correct, port or delete, and we do not sell or share personal information.

For data processed by Google through Play Games Services, AdMob, Crashlytics or Play Billing, those rights are exercised through Google — using your Play Games settings, your device's advertising settings, the consent controls in the game where they apply, and the links in Sections 3 to 6.

14. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of Wick changes how information is handled — a new SDK, a different ad network, additional online features — we will update this policy before that version is released, revise the "Last updated" date above and describe the change here. Continued play after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
