Privacy Policy — Juice: Battery Alarm

Effective date: 22 September 2026 Last updated: 22 September 2026

Juice: Battery Alarm ("Juice", "the app") is developed and published by Bloomix Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how the app handles information.

The short version: Juice collects nothing. It reads your device's battery state, keeps your alarm settings on your phone, and sends nothing anywhere. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no trackers.

1. Information We Collect

We collect nothing.

Juice has no accounts and no sign-in. We operate no servers that receive data from it, and we receive no information about you or your device. Specifically, we do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact details
  • Location of any kind
  • Contacts, calendar entries, photos, files, or media
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
  • Usage analytics, behavioural data, crash reports, or diagnostics
  • Battery data, charging history, or anything else the app reads from your device

We cannot identify you, and we hold no record that you use the app.

2. Battery Information

Juice reads your device's battery state — level, charging status, temperature and voltage — through standard Android system interfaces. No permission is required for this, and it is the app's core function.

This information:

  • Is read on your device, while the app or its monitoring service is running
  • Is used only to display current battery status and to decide whether one of your alarms should sound
  • Is not stored as a history or log. The app keeps your alarm settings, not a record of what your battery has been doing
  • Is never transmitted. It does not reach us or any third party

3. The Foreground Service

For alarms to work reliably, Juice runs a foreground service that watches your battery while the app is closed. Android requires any such service to display an ongoing notification, which is why you will see one.

That notification is a transparency feature, not an advertisement. It shows that the app is monitoring, and you can see it at any time. Stopping the service stops the alarms; there is no hidden background activity.

Juice also asks to be exempted from battery optimisation. This is so Android does not pause the monitoring service and cause your alarms to fire late or not at all. It is optional, it can be revoked in Settings → Apps → Juice → Battery, and it grants the app no access to any information.

4. Data Stored on Your Device

WhatWhyWhere it goes
Your alarms and thresholdsSo the app knows what to alert you aboutYour device's private app storage
Sound and vibration preferencesSo the alarm uses the tone you choseYour device's private app storage

That is everything. There is no battery history, no usage log, and no crash file.

None of it leaves your device. Juice sets android:allowBackup="false", so your settings are not copied into Google Drive backups or transferred to a new device.

To delete it: Settings → Apps → Juice → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes everything permanently.

5. Permissions

PermissionWhy
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)To sound alarms and to show the ongoing monitoring notification Android requires.
Foreground serviceTo keep watching the battery while the app is closed, so alarms fire on time.
Ignore battery optimisation (optional)So Android does not suspend the monitoring service. You can decline or revoke this; alarms may then be delayed.

The app requests nothing else. No location, no storage, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, no identifiers.

6. Third-Party Services

Juice contains no third-party SDKs. There is no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no trackers of any kind. No third party receives information about you through this app.

Two Google services are involved in distribution and purchases:

  • Google Play distributes the app, and Google may collect information relating to downloads and installs independently of it, under Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play Billing processes the optional Pro upgrade. See Section 7.

7. The Pro Upgrade

Juice is free. It offers an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional alarm tones and features.

The purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Your payment details go to Google, never to us. We do not see or store card numbers, billing addresses, or any financial information. We receive only the fact that the entitlement is active on your Google account, which is what tells the app to unlock the extra features.

Your purchase status is not linked to any profile, because there is no profile. Nothing about how you use the app is connected to the purchase.

8. Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data. We hold none, and the app transmits none.

9. Retention and Deletion

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. There is no account to close and no server-side record to erase.

Settings on your device are kept until you delete them, as described in Section 4. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

10. Children's Privacy

Juice is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and transmits no identifiers.

11. Security

The app holds no account and stores nothing sensitive. Your settings sit in Android's private per-app storage, protected by the operating system and by your device's own encryption and lock screen. Since nothing is transmitted or stored on a server, there is no remote system that could be breached.

12. Your Rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights over your personal data — access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to processing.

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing on our side to access, correct, port, or delete, and we do not sell or share personal information. Your settings are under your own control on your device.

For the transaction data Google holds in relation to a purchase, those rights are exercised through Google.

13. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of Juice changes how information is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released, revise the "Last updated" date above, and describe the change here. Continued use of the app after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
