Pomey ("the app") is developed and published by Bloomix Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how the app handles information.
The short version: Pomey collects nothing. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no trackers. Your settings and your running timer stay on your device. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is a purchase, and that is handled entirely by Google Play.
We collect nothing.
We operate no servers for this app and receive no information from it. We cannot identify you and hold no record that you use Pomey. Specifically, we do not collect:
| What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings — focus and break lengths, sessions per cycle, auto-start, theme, sound and haptics preferences | So the app opens the way you left it | Your device's private app storage |
| The current timer state | So a running timer survives the app closing or your phone restarting | Your device's private app storage |
That is everything. Pomey keeps no history of your sessions, no statistics, no streaks and no logs. Nothing records what you worked on or when.
None of it reaches us, and Pomey sets android:allowBackup="false", so your settings are not copied into Google Drive backups or transferred to a new device.
To delete it: Settings → Apps → Pomey → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes everything permanently.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) | To show the live countdown while the app is closed, and to ring when a session ends. |
| Foreground service | To keep the countdown accurate while you're using other apps. |
Exact alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM) | So the ring lands at the right moment rather than whenever the system gets around to it. A timer that fires late is a broken timer. |
Vibrate (VIBRATE) | For the haptics on the dial, on every tap, and when a session finishes. |
Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING) | To offer and verify the Pomey Pro purchase through Google Play. |
Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) | Added by Google's Play Billing library, which it uses to reach Google Play. See Section 4. |
Pomey requests no location, no storage, no contacts, no camera, no microphone and no identifiers.
Pomey is free, with an optional one-time purchase, Pomey Pro, that unlocks the full set of themes. There is no subscription.
The app contains no network code of its own. It does not call any server we run — we run none — and it sends nothing anywhere. The INTERNET permission is present because Google's Play Billing library requires it, and the only network traffic the app produces is that library talking to Google Play to show the price, complete a purchase and check whether the unlock is active on your account.
Your payment goes to Google, never to us. We do not see or store card numbers, billing addresses, names or email addresses. We receive only aggregate sales figures from Google, which do not identify individual buyers. Purchases are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
Your Pro status is tied to your Google account, not to any profile we hold, and is not linked to anything about how you use the app.
Beyond Google Play Billing, Pomey contains no third-party SDKs. There is no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no social or login providers and no trackers of any kind. No third party receives information about you through this app.
Google Play distributes the app and may collect information relating to downloads and installs independently of it.
We do not share, sell, rent, trade or disclose any user data. We have none to share.
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. There is no account to close and no server-side record to erase. Data on your device is kept until you remove it, as described in Section 2.
Pomey is suitable for users of all ages and participates in Google Play's Families programme. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children; it transmits no device identifiers or advertising IDs; and it contains no advertising.
Pomey does offer a one-time in-app purchase. Parents and guardians who want to prevent purchases can require authentication for every purchase in the Google Play Store settings, or use Google's parental controls.
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR's provisions on children's data, and Google Play's Families Policy.
Pomey holds no account and stores nothing sensitive. Your settings sit in Android's private per-app storage, protected by the operating system and by your device's own encryption and lock screen. Since nothing about your use is transmitted or stored on a server, there is no remote system that could be breached.
Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights over your personal data — access, correction, deletion, portability and objection to processing.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing on our side to act on, and we do not sell or share personal information. Your settings are under your own control on your device. For anything Google holds in relation to a purchase, those rights are exercised through Google.
If a future version of Pomey changes how information is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released, revise the "Last updated" date above and describe the change here. Continued use of the app after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
